Visual Lateral Thinking
generativity through visuals and not just words
Anyone who can hold a pencil can draw a line between who can draw a line between who can draw and who cannot draw.
If insights and innovations had a GPS mapping system, a huge part of their journey would be "not in network coverage area" for most parts. And then suddenly show up on maps. With attribution and all kinds of stories of "whose idea or innovation it is" and "how did it come about"...
During 11 years of random scribbles, it appears that visual-symbols have some generativity similar to word-symbols/words. However, due ro extensive rules and norms of exchanging through verbal, the visual skills remain at best unexplored or awed in some who demonstrate it. Generativity essentially means the ability to create something new.
Here is a visual lateral thinking example above…where one takes an element or object. And looks at constitutive sub-elements and it's properties. And then replaces some of the sub-elements to give it a different meaning.
